The alchemist is a wonderful book of adventures,language etc. The main character Santiago, was a shepherd who wanted to travel alone.His father agreed to travel him with his sheep. He meets a Gypsy, who predicts that he will find a treasure in Egyptian pyramids with a help of an alchemist (a man who has vast knowledge in language ) and he makes his way to Egypt. He meets a man named Melchizedek, who is an another main character to whom he exchanges his thoughts . Then he works as a cleaner in a crystal shop and meets the owner of that shop and makes friendship with him. From there he goes to Al fayoum . In Al fayoum he meets a girl named Fatima and falls in loves with her. When he walks in a desert in search of the alchemist, a man attacks him and he cames to know he was an alchemist and makes friendship with him.At last he knows that his treasure was in a church situated in his neighborhood. The moral of this story is one who follows his destiny will always lead him to his goal.
