Mahabharata, the greatest epics of the world compiled and
edited by Meena and published by Rainbow books,Delhi, should be definitely read
by children because, it is written in very easy language as well as just to the
point.
It is the story of two cousins--the five sons of the
deceased king Pandu, the five Pandavas and the one hundred sons of blind King
Dhritarashtra who became bitter rivals, and opposed each other in war for
possession of the ancestral Bharata, kingdom with its capital in the Hastinapura.
If children read this book, they will get an idea of what
the great epic is all about.
