This is the first book that touched my heart. One of the best creation of Michael Morpurgo. The book has 128 pages and is published by Harper Collins Children's Books.

The book tells us a beautiful story of a boy named Bertie who lives in Africa and how he found an adorable white lion. The book depicts the friendship and the bond of love of the boy and the lion and the struggles that they face while growing. The family finds it difficult to keep a wild animal in their house and sells the white lion to a circus.

After that the books tells the adventures of Bertie after he grows and how he ends up in the world war and gets a bravery award. The conclusion of the book was really heart touching.

I really loved this book and I will surely recommend it to all the book lovers of every age, and I am sure that every one of them will enjoy this book
