This story is about a small girl. She was the only child her parents had, so they raised her with a lot of love and care. Her parents loved her that much that they couldn’t leave her for even a minute. But the fate was against her and her parents. Her father had to go to a distant country for a trade .The house was full of tears when her father left. But before he left he asked her girl “will you be a good girl when I’ am not in the house”. She replied quickly “Of course daddy”. Then he said if you will be a good girl I will bring you a doll and he left. Years passed, the little girl grew into a young girl. She learned how to cook. After 3 Years her father came back. The girl was so happy. As he promised he brought a doll for his daughter and a mirror for his wife. Years went by. There was happiness all around the house. The girl grew into a young lady .As years went by her mother fell ill and was unable to stand. One day her mother called her and said “I will breathe my last breath today or tomorrow so I want to show you something” Matsuyama asked what that is with her filled eyes. Her mother replied “There is a box under my bed. In that box there is a mirror. After my death if you want to see me you just look at that mirror”. With these words she took her last breathe. After her mothers’ death her father was forced to marry once again. As he married there was a problem, his daughter was older than his wife. There was an ego problem between the step mother and Matsuyama. The step mother thought Matsuyama would kill her and was afraid. She started to harass Matsuyama and she was so sad. One morning when she remembered her mothers last words. She took the mirror and she saw her mother and they started to talking to each other . Matsuyama’s stepmother heard her talking to somebody. She thought Matsuyama was making a plan to kill her.She complained about this to her husband and he started to beat Matsuyama. Poor Matsuyama didn’t know why her father was beating her. At the end he asked her, "Did you try to kill your stepmother?" she replied innocently. Then she said all the things that had happened .Then her step mother understood everything and told sorry to Matsuyama and lived happily ever after. I think everybody should read this book .It is written in a simple language and is a mind blowing story.
