AN EXCITING LEAP INTO THE WORLD OF QUANTUM MECHANICS AND NUCLEAR ENERGY: SKIT REVIEW

I found myself extremely in awe by the presentation of the great scientists today. In fact, it was like kerosene to the burning spark of desire in me to delve deeper into the world of nuclear physics, quantum mechanics and thermodynamics.
I’ve always wanted to be a physicist. Be it theoretical, astrophysics, quantum physics, I’ve always had lit up eyes for anything in physics.

Never have I ever seen a special program like the one I witnessed at that morning assembly. An introduction that seems normal at first glance to individuals who aren’t much interested in the field of science, to me it felt equivalent to conversing with them.
Scientists who I dream about everyday, scientists who make me feel “I want to be just like them!”
In fact, I had a huge grin that made me look like an idiot who saw gold, and I was yelling out “Heisenberg! Heisenberg!” when the chechi asked about the famous German physicist.

The best portions were when Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam and Dr. J. Robert Oppenheimer came on stage.
I watched ‘Oppenheimer’ by Christopher Nolan twice, and I listen to the soundtracks quite often, dreaming about dimensions that may, or may not make sense.

The idea that nuclear energy be used for world peace and not for destruction resonated with me. I completely agree that nuclear energy would make an excellent resource in the development of India, and I too hope, one day I can also contribute to the field of Nuclear Physics.
