Under PM SHRI activity, the Readers Club
organised a field trip to library Amala IInstitute of Medical Sciences Thrissur
on 27/9/25.
We reached Amala Institute of Medical
Sciences at around 9:30. From there, students were made to a single line and followed
the teachers to the library of Amala Institute of Medical Sciences.
We were welcomed by D.R. A.T. Franciz, Chief Librarian and his team. He took a session for us on reading habit, libraries,
books and also discussed many general topics. It was very informative and
interactive session. He asked questions in between and gave prizes to the students who
could answer the questions.
After the session, Francis Sir took us on a tour of the library. The library was big and had lot
of books. The library staff also demonstrated the working of RFID gate system.
They also offered us a small refreshment.
After that, at around 12:00, we left from Amala Institute of Medical Sciences and went to the Thrissur Zoo. At 12:30, we reached the Thrissur Zoo. We all had our lunch there. The zoo had varieties of animals including parrots, monkeys, snakes, deer, a tiger and a lion. The main attraction was the Royal Bengal Tiger. The zoo was very fun and everyone enjoyed it.
At around 2:00, we had left the Zoo to went to the Beach.We reached the Snehadheeram Beach at around 3:00. We gave a surprise retirement cake to Rugmini Madam. Rugmini madam's presence was the highlight of this tour. Madam was one of the teacher incharges of our Readers' Club for the last many years and was always with us for the different activities organised by the club.
After enjoying the beach for a while, we walked over to Oho Beach. At around 4:00, we reached Oho Beach, everyone had changed from their uniforms to casual clothes so that they could have fun in the beach. We were all very excited. Everyone had a fun time at the beach and at around 6:00, we had left from the beach back to our homes.
After a long drive, we had reached the
school at around 9:00.
It was a memorable trip. Everyone enjoyed the trip, we had a lot of
fun.
