The Horse and His Boy is the third book in The Chronicles of Narnia series written by Clive Staples Lewis. This book is actually the fifth book in the series but is the third book in the reading order recommended by C S Lewis. The protagonists of the book are Shasta or Prince Cor, Aravis, and the talking horses Bree and Hwin. 

The story takes place during the Golden Age of Narnia when High King Peter and his siblings are ruling. The story begins in Calormen with an ordinary boy Shasta. His father Arsheesh is visited by a Tarkaan or a lord and Shasta comes to know that Arsheesh isn't his father. Then he meets a talking horse named Bree and they plan to escape to Narnia. During their quest they meet Aravis and her horse Hwin, who are also escaping to Narnia. After that it is a series of fights, troubles and many more. Read this exciting book to experience the thrill of an adventure in which one can be sure of nothing.
