The Crash by Frieda McFadden - Book Review

BOOK: The Crash
AUTHOR: Frieda McFadden
PUBLICATIONS: Poisoned Pen Press

This book is about Tegan, a 23-year-old lady who survives an abuse at the hands of Simon Lamar, a rich businessman.

The story starts with Tegan coming back from her job at the supermarket. When she reaches home, she meets Jackson Bruckner, a lawyer appointed by Simon Lamar for a non- disclosure contract for Tegan and her baby, for not revealing the abuse. But on the day of signing the contract, she rejects it as she suddenly gets a vision of Simon abusing her, which she wasn’t aware of before.

Then, one day, she goes to meet her brother, Dennis Werner, who works at a ski shop. On the way, the GPS alerts her about a blizzard that might happen anytime. She was suddenly blinded by the snowfall and her car crashes, causing a bad leg injury. She gets scared of the chance of freezing to death with her baby. She is rescued by a man who carries her to his house, to his wife Polly who is a nurse. Tagen is scared that the man Hank might cause her harm.

This book was a very good mystery; I didn’t see the plot twists coming. Anyone fond of mystery and the writing style of Frieda McFadden will surely enjoy this book too. This book really kept me on my nerves.
