Tintin and the Cigars of Pharaoh is the fourth volume of the fascinating 'Adventures of Tintin' written by the Belgian cartoonist Herge. This book is preceded by 'Tintin in America' and succeeded by 'The Blue Lotus'. The protagonists of this book are Tintin, Snowy,Thomson and Thompson.
Tintin and Snowy, are holidaying in a ship. They meet Rastapopulus, who is a film directer and Sophocles Sarcophagus who is an Egyptologist. Thomson and Thompson accust Tintin and Snowy in the name of heroin smuggling. The story, as usual develops into anathor plot and mysterious things happen after that. But in the end, Tintin wins over the mystery as usual. I liked about the way the author has depicted the culture and history of Egypt. So I urge all the students to grab this book as soon as possible.
