In the previous book Tintin and his friends had found three parchments about the location of the Unicorn and they plan to find the treasure. As their plan had been publicized they are forced to answer to a lot of people. After that Professor Calculus makes his appearance by telling that he has a submarine that can help them find the treasure and he is refused. The Thompson brothers volunteer to protect them as they had made rival treasure hunters angry. After they set on their expedition a lot of funny incidents happen and Calculus is revealed to be on board! They reach the island and the author has done a really good job in narrating the incident of the treasure hunt. The ending of the story is really wonderful and it is also unexpected.
