Wise and otherwise is a non friction book written by Sudha Murthy a social worker, Chairperson of Infosys foundation and a famous author. She is born in 19 August 1950 at Shiggaon She is the wife of co founder of the Infosys foundation Mr. N.R. Narayana Murthy .Being a social worker she has many life experiences while doing her work.In this book she has written her life experiences in form of short stories . Every story is so interesting that it will definitely give us a chance to look into our inner voice and tell us about human nature , behavior and values . This book shows her encounters with ordinary people and extraordinary minds during her travels and personal experiences. This is one of my favorite books. More over the book is written in simple language ,which is very easy to understand . I was more attracted to her writings .
The stories which I personally felt distressed was of the man who dumps his aged father in an old -age home after declaring him as a homeless stranger and a tribal chief from Sahyadri hills teaches the author that there is humility in receiving too . Each and every story has to tell about something or the other which is absolutely helpful. It speaks about humanity.
