The Chronicles of Narnia
The Last Battle
C. S. Lewis
While opening this book what I felt was not something usual
that one feels while we begin to read a Narnia book. This was something different,
as we all know this book is the last one from the famous series. I was full of
curiosity and even melancholy as this is the last one (even though I haven’t
read some other books from the series). This book is published by
HarperCollins, contains 224 pages.
The last
king of the land was Tirian. He had a unicorn friend named Jewel. But Narnia soon
becomes the centre for evil in
the form of an Ape named Shift. Shift finds a lion skin and makes a
donkey called Puzzle to wear it. He makes people believe that this was Aslan
and tries to destroy the land. The saviors from our land world went to help. Even
though they did their best they couldn’t save the land. But fortunately for
them, they discovered a true Narnia, better than the old one, where they found
all their old rulers too. The author also says that this was just the beginning
of the adventures that awaits for them. But unfortunately for us readers, these
adventures won’t be there in any book.
There is no
need for me to say that all the Narnian fans should not miss the ending. But still
I’d like to suggest this book to all.
