I was greatly inspired by the non –fiction work
‘’What young India Wants’’ written by India's most loved writer Chetan Bhagat..It
contains a number of selected essays and
columns..Chetan Bhagat is the author five novels all of which have gone on to
become blockbuster seller since they were released. They have also been adapted
into major Bollywood films. This book is
very different fron those which he has
written and much interesting tooo.He has put on this book to give us a
clear idea about our society, politics and youth. This book is really an simple
prose dealing with some of the complex issues faced by modern India and the
book also offers solutions and invites discussion on them. The most interesting
section I found in this book is the two stories
1.of ducks and crocodiles
2.The
cut-off,both which has a meaningful value for us.The story cut off really
inspired me because it deals with a boy named Gautam who decides to commit a
suicide but certain miracles happens in his life which do not allow him to do
it.Chetan Bhagat has also shared his great Indian dream, which I'am sure everyone
of us will find interesting and provoking. From reading this book you will come
to know-why do our students commit suicide ?Why cant our political parties
ever work together?does our vote make any difference at all? ..I prefer this
book to the readers of ages from 13and above and to all who loves to be part of politics in your
future. If you want to understand contemporary India.and the problems that face
it and to be a part of solution ‘’what young India wants is the book for you’’.
From reading this book I came to a conclusion;how the young generation should
ideally be to make India free from the evils of politics..Last but not the
least I want every reader to come up with your own ideas and suggestions to make
ours a better nation….
