The garlands on his brows is a book written by Ruskin Bond. It describes the story of a wrestler named Hasan who later became beggar. Because, his wife died. He became heartbroken and couldn’t go for work because he was tired of thinking about his beloved wife.
His wife used to take much care of him. He brought sweets for her when he won any of the championship in the state. He had so many fans in the city. Ruskin Bond also was very fond of him. The author used to help Hasan. All people from the whole neighbourhood used to come to his house. But, all changed when his wife died. He became tired and heartbroken and he became a poor beggar asking for alms along the pavements. One day, when Hasan was walking along the pavements, too tired, he fell into the gutter and got badly injured. His dead body covered with insects and flies. People who was walking along the road came to know this. They took Hasan’s body from the gutter and conducted funerals. His fans mourned deeply…
What I learned from this story is – We should never show our weakness to the world. Because, the world is much interested to play with us. I loved this book very much!!!! Wishing to read more books of Ruskin Bond.
