The story is about Elizabeth Allen who was sent to the Whyteleafe school. At first, she behaved rude and naughty in the school to get expelled. She didn’t want to make friends. After a talk with Rita, she made friends with Joan, who did not have a good relationship with her parents which Elizabeth helped in resolving . Elizabeth asked Rita and William’s permission in the meeting to return to her home. Rita said if she was still unhappy by the half term she can go home. The next week was lovely. She was happy and went for riding, learned music and spent time with Joan. In the next meeting, Rita asked if she still want to go to home but she said she want to stay in the school.

I liked the book because I was curious to know what happened next. Elizabeth’s character change and what she did for Joan was the best part for me
