This meeting of Readers Club, on 28 June was very special to me, and to all who enjoyed the activity on this day. As we gathered in the library hall, Rugmini Ma'am announced about the day's activity, the 'Freeze Zone'. Everyone were asked to assemble in the basketball court. Everybody was so with a curious stare.
The activity was for class IXth and Xth, and the students were divided into 5 groups of 8-10 each.
I was in the fourth group. The task was to depict a scene which was given to the group. One by one had to come and act a role. As the activity is 'Freeze Zone' competition, the group will have to freeze at the end, and should have an similar situation representing the topic. The best group would be selected as the winner. The five topics were - A Police Station, Super Market, Fish Market', 'A Classroom without a Teacher' and 'Fire Rescue'.
Luckily, our group was selected as the winner - The Classroom without a Teacher. We all enjoyed it the most.. Hope to have such activities in the future too. Watch out - the next activity is again the 'Freeze Zone' for the Juniors..
