Tintin in Tibet is the twentieth volume of the comic, 'The adventures of Tintin' written by the Belgian cartoonist Herge. This book is preceded by 'The Red Sea Sharks' and succeeded by 'The Castofiore Emerald". The protagonists of this book are,Tintin, Snowy and Captain Haddock.
Tintin is in a holiday trip in the French Alps with captain Haddock and Calculus. Then he comes to know of a plane crash in Gosain Than Massif in the Himalayas. Tintin, in his dreams feels that his young friend Chang Chong-Chen is terribly hurt in the plane crash and is in a critical position. Then Tintin comes to know that Chong -Cheng was abroad in the plane that crashed in Tibet. Believing that his friend is in danger, Tintin, Snowy and Haddock fly to Kathmandu in Nepal.
There they hire a sherpa named Tharkey and move from Nepal to the crash site in Tibet. They discover some footprints that Tharkey claims to be that of a yeti(an abominable snowman). They reach the crash site with great difficulties. There they find evidence that proves Chang is not dead. After that a lot of adventures takes place which includes the rock climbing, the Avalanche which nearly kills them. Through the help of some Bhuddist monks, they escape a near death. And when the chief monk tells Tintin that his friend is still alive in some cave, he readily moves to the destination.
In the climax of the book, Tintin undergoes a lot of adventure and rescues his friend from danger. I liked the book because this book has a very different story background and a very amazing destination. I hope that all the readers and Tintin fans will definitely read this book.
