The BFG by Roald Dahl : Book Review by Yutika, VIII A

Title of the Book: The BFG
Author: Roald Dahl

Have you ever heard about a ‘friendly giant’? Well, ‘The BFG’ written, by none other than  the famous writer Roald Dahl, is a book where you will find one such giant. But I must tell you, not all giants are friendly! Roald Dahl is an author of fiction and is extremely famous for his gobblefunk.

The story begins on an extremely silent night, a night fit to be termed ghostly. Sophie was still awake. The moon was shining very brightly and she was forced to get out of her bed to close the curtains. That was the moment. Sophie froze. She had just seen a tall dark figure. Not that of a human, Sophie was sure. As the figure moved closer, Sophie saw a Giant. The giant was blowing something into the houses through a long trumpet. As Sophie saw the giant turn towards her, she ran back to her bed as fast as possible, but the giant was very quick at spotting her. This is how, Sophie unexpectedly met the Big Friendly Giant and reached the Giant Country.

The story does not end here, in fact, it is just the beginning of all the exiting things that happened to Sophie. . So, if you have not yet read this book, grab it as soon as you get a chance. You will certainly enjoy it.
